  • David Denies Wing shooting

My trip with David Denies Out-fitters in Cordoba Argentina was incredible. From the time we stepped off the plane in Cordoba to the time we stepped on the plane to go home, we were taken care of. It was first class service all the way. As far as trips going smoothly, this was one of the best, and a lot of it had to do with David Denies coordinating most of it.07Argentina032.jpg (153784 bytes)

Our accommodations were as good as any 5 star hotel in the states. The food was fantastic, especially if your a beef lover such as myself.

The shooting was the best Ive had to date. Ive been wing shooting in Mexico, Columbia years ago, an Bolivia. But it just didnt get any better, I was shooting over 1000 birds a day. I also had some guests that never shot Dove before, or ever did any kind of wing shooting for that matter. They were easily shooting over 300 birds a day. It was pretty much non stop shooting, and we didnt shoot the entire day! We hunted in the morning until lunch, and the last three hours of the day. You can shoot all day long if you like, but we had our fill.

I highly recommend this hunt, and David Denies if you want a first class shoot. They can be reached at www.daviddenies.com or here in the states 866-333-6437

  • Safrique

From the rugged highlands of Niassa to the 2,500 km. of virgin coast that crowns radiant blue waters of the Indian Ocean, Mozambique is a land of extreme beauty and allure. It is paradise enjoyed by 21 million residents,safrique_logo.jpg (22953 bytes) 99.7% of which are indigenous tribal groups, and the rest are Europeans and others that have succumbed to its pristine beaches and its unexplored and unspoiled game reserves. A blend of African, Arabic, Indian and Portuguese influences make for delicious cuisine, exciting music and dance, and a cheerful population.

With the return of peace and political stability in Mozambique, coupled with a smooth transition to democracy, the country has reclaimed its status as one of Africa’s treasures. The atmosphere is bright and optimistic as roads, bridges and hotels are built, and development forges ahead at full speed.

Come experience Mozambique at this very exhilerating and distinctive moment in its history with Safrique as your safari guide. www.safrique.net

  • Teague Ranch - Des Moines, Iowa

Teague ranch is located one hour south of Des Moines, Iowa. Tommy Teague has some of the best whitetail genetics you will ever find roaming a ranch. In fact, I was with Tommy when he purchased the famous "30 - 30 Buck".

I had a lot of fun sitting in the blinds just seeing all of the different looking bucks he has. He has typical and non-typical deer, and if your looking for something specific in a set of horns this is your place. Their are a lot of 150 to 160 class deer on his place, and if you want a MONSTER, he has those as well. The Teague Ranch will fit to your needs and your budget and it will be hard to find better looking bucks anywhere. (Photo to the right Wally with one

  • Brady Ranch Hunt - Lake Okeechobee, FL

Brady Ranch is located just North East of Lake Okeechobee, FL. Brady is home to the largest Axis deer herd in North America. I have hunted Axis, water buffalo, and hogs on the ranch, with rifle and bow. They have many other exotics as well. (Photo to the left Wally with a Water Buffalo)

If you have never tried Axis deer meat you are missing out. I have had it all, and my favorite game animals to eat are the African Eland, and the Axis Deer. The Brady Ranch staff will prove that to you if you stay with them, for they serve the Axis deer and its incredible! I always have a lot of fun when I hunt with them, and its a great place to bring your family as well. (Photo to the right - NASCAR Truck Series Driver Mike Skinner and Wally a Axis Buck)

  • YO Ranch - Texas

If you have ever visited the Texas hill country, you must have heard of the YO Ranch. It's one of the most famous ranches in Texas, and one of the very few left in the state that the family has not cut up and sold out. The ranch was bought in the late 1800s by the Schreiner family and still remains in the Schreiner family to this day.

I shot my very first Blackbuck at the YO ranch a long time ago. And this trip I took my youngest son, Wyatt, to do the same thing. He took a great Blackbuck with a fantastic shot. (Photo to the right Wally and his son Wyatt with the Blackbuck)

The YO is really a family place. In fact they have a couple great camps to choose from for your kids. One being a Hunting camp where they learn or improve on shooting a bow and rifle, hide tanning, survival. They even get their hunter safety card. For more information, go to www.yoranch.com.

I am sending both my sons to this camp, and my daughter Katie will go as soon as she turns 9. The YO has a tremendous amount of history, and even if you don't hunt, its a great place to visit. The guides work very hard, trying to get you a shot at the trophy you're looking for.
